The next WCMP meeting will include the usual updates from WAG departments and partners. We have also invited the British Marine Aggregates Producers' Association (BMAPA) and the Welsh Aquaculture Producers' Association (WAPA) to attend the meeting as observers and to invite them to join WCMP. This action follows from our meeting with Minister Jane Davidson, who asked us to expand our membership to include aquaculture and aggregates industry interest in our advisory structure. 

The Minister for Environment, Sustainability and Housing will attend this meeting to actively engage with WCMP stakeholders. Please note that because of other commitments in the Minister's diary this WCMP meeting will commence at 11.00 am. Registration & tea and coffee will be at 10.30. At this WCMP meeting regular updates on marine and coastal policy in Wales will be presented. Particular emphasis will be given to the draft Marine Bill consultation and the forthcoming consultation on Fisheries Management in Wales amongst other.

The second part of the meeting will focus on testing a draft list of ICZM indicators that a Partnership working group has put together.

ICZM Indicators workshop, preceding the WCMP conference on Marine and Coastal Policy on 7th February.

This is the last partnership meeting in 2007. It will focus on the partnership's contribution to the revision of the Wales Environment Strategy Action Plan. Other updates and topics for discussion include Marine & Coastal  Policy in Wales, the SDC tidal project, Welsh Fisheries Strategy, CCW research and an update from the Welsh Group of European Marine Sites.

The afternoon field trip to Constitution Hill, Aberystwyth, will focus on coastal access in Wales.
