The first meeting of the Wales Coastal & Maritime Partnership took place on 20 March 2002 in Swansea. Launched with the active involvement and support of the Welsh Assembly Government, the Partnership is building upon the work of the former Wales Coastal Forum. The Partnership aims to:
"provide advice to the Welsh Assembly Government on sustainable development issues affecting the coast and seas of Wales as well as facilitating the exchange of information and dissemination of good practice".
The Partnership comprises representatives of 28 organisations from the public, private and voluntary sectors. To allow all interests in Wales to have their say in the Partnership’s work, a wider interested parties list has been created. If your organisation would like to be placed on the interested parties list please contact the Project Officer - information on how to do this is available at Contacting the Partnership.
